A Quick Look at Las Vegas Aces History
The Las Vegas Aces are one of the WNBA’s most exciting teams, originally founded in 1997 as the Utah Starzz before moving to San Antonio (as the Silver Stars/Stars) and eventually finding their permanent home in Las Vegas in 2018. Owned by Mark Davis (owner of the Las Vegas Raiders), the Aces quickly became a powerhouse team, representing Vegas with the same bold flair the city is known for.
Championships and Achievements
The Aces have made history with back-to-back WNBA championships in 2022 and 2023, led by superstar A’ja Wilson, coach Becky Hammon, and a strong roster of talent. These victories didn’t just put the Aces on the map—they made them the first team since 2001-2002 to win consecutive WNBA titles.
This legacy has cemented the Aces as not just a basketball team, but a dynasty in the making.
Aces Fan Culture: More Than Just a Game
What makes the Aces truly special is their fanbase. From locals in Las Vegas to basketball lovers across the U.S., Aces fans have developed a culture that blends:
- Vegas Vibes: Fans bring energy, neon lights, and casino themes into their support.
- Strong Community: The “Ace Army” has grown into one of the most recognizable fandoms in the WNBA.
- Loud & Proud: Whether online or in Michelob ULTRA Arena, Aces fans show unmatched passion.

Whether you lean toward funny, fierce, or casino-inspired vibes, these nicknames give you the ultimate way to rep your team in style.
So go ahead—pick your favorite, share it with your fan crew, and show the world that Aces fans aren’t just loyal… they’re legendary.
